TRUSTe - Make Privacy Your Choice

Everyone's Online, Including Kids

With so many destinations on the Web, TRUSTe® marks sites that are compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) – meaning parents can safely allow their young children to visit them. Sites displaying the seal have been designated a COPPA Safe Harbor by the Federal Trade Commission.

The Children's Seal applies to sites that are fully or partially targeted towards children under the age of 13, and that knowingly collect or maintain their personal information. In addition, seal holders abide by the requirements of TRUSTe's standard Web Privacy Seal, including ongoing site monitoring and alternative dispute resolution.

Look out for the privacy of kids on the Web with the TRUSTe Children's Seal. Parents and teachers can click here [138K PDF Document] to learn more about protecting kid's privacy online, and parents and business owners can click here to learn about specific program requirements.
