TRUSTe/ Ponemon Institute Most Trusted Company for Privacy Survey & Award
| TRUSTe/ Ponemon Institute Most Trusted Company for Privacy Survey & Award Are certain companies and brands more trusted than others to protect consumer’s privacy? The second annual Most Trusted Companies for Privacy Survey was conducted by TRUSTe and the Ponemon Institute to identify the top companies that are doing a superior job of building trust with customers through the establishment and enforcement of progressive privacy practices. The survey polled more than seven thousand consumers, who selected the top 20 companies they trust with their personal information. TRUSTe and Ponemon Institute used a number of analyses and criteria to choose this year’s winner of the The Most Trusted Company for Privacy Award. The Ponemon Institute conducted an unaided survey among consumers, asking them to select the top 20 companies they trust with their personal information. A panel of experts from TRUSTe, Ponemon Institute and Watchfire developed a checklist consisting of thirty elements of website and email privacy, website security and customer service. The panel then researched and scored each of the twenty companies. This year, P&G, HP and E-LOAN were ranked first, second, and third, respectively. TRUSTe will be recognizing the top three finalists of its second annual Most Trusted Company for Privacy Award and recognizing the top three finalists on Capitol Hill. | | Click here to read the Most Trusted Company Winners Press Release.
