A New Look After 10 Years

TRUSTe has launched a new look as it enters its second decade of offering privacy protection and identifying trustworthy websites. After ten years, the TRUSTe web seal has become the road sign for Internet users. The new seal, launched at eBay Live! on June 11, retains the same green and black colors and brand name while offering a modernized look, reflecting its expanded offerings, including the Trusted Download Program, and kicking off another decade of forward momentum protecting privacy.

Tip: New Seal, New Guidelines

To ensure the validity of the new TRUSTe seals, you must comply with the new guidelines:

  1. ALL seals must now link to your existing validation URL.
  2. Seals placed on your homepage should no longer link to your privacy policy, but to your validation page. This ensures that the certification requirements are easily accessible by individuals visiting the site.
  3. You MUST have a privacy policy link on your homepage.
  4. You must include a privacy policy text link including the word "privacy" such as "Privacy Policy" or "Privacy Statement" on your homepage and on pages collecting personal information.
If you have any questions about implementing your new seals, please contact your client services manager.
