Privacy Alert!

Watch Out for TRUSTe Seal Trademark Violators

TRUSTe® does everything we can to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is respected by our 2,400+ member web sites. These corporations meet TRUSTe's strict standards and are permitted to post the TRUSTe privacy seal. Some organizations illegally post the TRUSTe seal and are NOT TRUSTe certified. We vigorously and systematically police the internet in order to identify fraudulent use of our trademarks.

To report a company that illegally posts a TRUSTe seal, please submit a Watchdog Report. If you are reporting an email please make sure to have a copy of the original email.

TRUSTe Will NOT Contact You Via Email Unless You File a Watchdog

TRUSTe does NOT contact individuals via email to authenticate or endorse any website operator or business. Our only communication with consumers is via the Watchdog complaint system. Our sealholders will never request sensitive information from you via email with our seal on it.

Notice to Car Buyers:
TRUSTe does not operate an escrow service. If a classified listing claims we do, it’s a scam.  To learn more about how to spot a scam, see the Fraud Awareness Tips on AutoTrader.com.
